About the Foundation
The
Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation is strongly
committed to financially sustaining the service needs of
the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region in ways that are
positive, meaningful and engaging.
The Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation was initiated
after receiving an estate donation in excess of half a
million dollars. It became the fundraising arm of the
Society in April of 2008.
The Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation needs to raise
over $600,000 each year to assist the Alzheimer Society
of Niagara Region in its delivery of programs that
provide assistance to people with dementia, their
caregivers and family members throughout the Niagara
Region who turn to us for information, education and
support during their difficult journey.
Through the generosity of our donors, including monthly
donors, those who have made planned gifts through a
bequest, life insurance policy or endowment, and those
who support our annual events like the Walk for
Alzheimer's, Peter Saracino Alzheimer Golf Classic, Coffee Break,
and Curl for Memories, we can
ensure the viability of the specialized Dementia Care
services provided by the Alzheimer Society of Niagara
Region and our community partners in perpetuity.
